Sütő, András

Member of the orchestra since 2000, András is also a trombonist in the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and founding member of the Corpus Trombone Quartet established in 2001.

One of his favourite compositions nowadays is Wagner’s masterpiece, Twilight of the Gods. Other beloved pieces of his are the compositions written for the Trombone Quartet.

His partner is Ági Kószás, leader of the cello section. They are raising two daughters together, Anna and Rita.

‘I love working here because the management is particularly flexible and because the bass brass section breathes and thinks in perfect unison, as three of us from the Corpus Quartet sit behind the trombones in the Dohnányi Orchestra. The programme is always colourful and versatile here; we never ever get bored for a minute!’
