Dear BDO Friend,
You surely have already thought of how exciting it would be to see the preparation process of a concert, a show, a publication or an event from really close. If you wish to join the group of our official sponsors, please take a look at the summary of all the benefits we offer those who wish and can financially support our orchestra.
BDO Patron’s Club aims to support the operation of Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra and a number of associated artistic and cultural activities and events. Therefore, if you become a BDO Patron – on any level of support – your donation will contribute to the funding of the realisation or operation of the following activities, ideas and “missions”:
- Orchestra Academy – workshops for entrants and emerging artists
- Projects, including Megérthető zene (“Comprehensible Music”); Cinemusic – movie soundtrack concert, Igazából karácsony (“Christmas Actually” – symphonic concert show); Énekel az Ország (“Let the Nation Sing”); Székelyföldi kórustalálkozó (“Székely Land Choir Festival”); New Year’s Concert.
- Free educational concerts to children in Budafok; Ez most komoly? („For serious?”) – Symphonic school concert series
- The purchase of high quality instruments.
- Funding for BDO’s concerts at Zemplén Festival.
- The publishing of the unique magazine of the orchestra entitled Hangoló (“Tuner”, published in Hungarian).
Membership benefits
There are four levels of membership you may choose from upon entering BDO Patrons’ Club. Each level has its own benefits, namely, a set of services and contents that are only available to our Patrons. In the following part, benefits of the four levels are described in detail but you can also find their summary in tables at the end of this page.
BDO FRIEND
offering an annual payment of HUF 20,000 to 50,000.
- Your immediate gift is a Christmas or New Year CD by BDO
- With your consent, your name will be mentioned in the donation acknowledgements section of BDO’s magazine Hangoló (“Tuner”) and on BDO’s home site (www.bdz.hu).
- You will be invited to BDO’s season opener event.
- Once every six months you may visit an open rehearsal – an opportunity open to BDO Patrons’ Club members exclusively.
- You will be notified about our featured concerts and given the possibility to pre-purchase tickets via e-mail.
BDO SPONSOR
offering an annual payment of HUF 50,000 to 300,000.
- Your immediate gift is a Christmas or New Year CD by BDO
- With your consent, your name will be mentioned in the donation acknowledgements section of BDO’s magazine Hangoló (“Tuner”) and on BDO’s home site (www.bdz.hu).
- You will be invited to BDO’s season opener event.
Once every six months you may visit an open rehearsal – an opportunity open to BDO Patrons’ Club members exclusively. - You will be notified about our featured concerts and given the possibility to pre-purchase tickets via e-mail.
- You will be given the opportunity to pre-purchase season tickets in the period between that of season ticket renewal and general ticket sale.
- You will get a free copy and delivery of BDO’s magazine Hangoló (“Tuner”), published twice a year.
- You will be eligible to pre-purchase discounted tickets and make table reservations for Aranybál (“Ball of the Golden Age”) organised every ball season.
- You will be offered 2 VIP tickets to the now traditional symphonic concert show Igazából karácsony (“Christmas actually”) held at Papp László Budapest Sport Arena.
BDO MAECENAS
offering an annual payment of HUF 300,000 to 800,000.
- Your immediate gift is a Christmas or New Year CD by BDO
- With your consent, your name will be mentioned in the donation acknowledgements section of BDO’s magazine Hangoló (“Tuner”) and on BDO’s home site (www.bdz.hu).
- You will be invited to BDO’s season opener event.
Once every six months you may visit an open rehearsal – an opportunity open to BDO Patrons’ Club members exclusively. - You will be notified about our featured concerts and given the possibility to pre-purchase tickets via e-mail.
- You will be given the opportunity to pre-purchase season tickets in the period between that of season ticket renewal and general ticket sale.

- You will be eligible to pre-purchase discounted tickets and make table reservations for Aranybál (“Ball of the Golden Age”) organised every ball season.

- You are welcome to attend the VIP saloon at ZenePlusz (“MusicPlus”) concert series at MÜPA (Palace of Arts).
- Once a year you may take part in an exclusive, closed concert of the series Megérthető zene (“Comprehensible Music”).
- Upon presenting your BDO Patrons’ Club membership card, a fixed 10% discount and pre-purchasing opportunities to the monthly thematic dinners will be offered to you by ”Liszt Restaurant ” of ARIA Hotel Budapest, a strategic partner of BDO.
- You may avail of the personal assistance offered by BDO’s Maecenas Hotline via phone and e-mail.
BDO PATRON*
offering an annual payment of HUF 800,000 or more.
- Your immediate gift is a Christmas or New Year CD by BDO
- With your consent, your name will be mentioned in the donation acknowledgements section of BDO’s magazine Hangoló (“Tuner”) and on BDO’s home site (www.bdz.hu).
- You will be invited to BDO’s season opener event.

*If your contribution is or exceeds HUF 1,200,000 you may apply for an additional membership card giving BDO Patron membership status with all its benefits to one more person (of your choice).
Practical Information
HOW TO JOIN?
- Please, contact us indicating your request to join here
- Please, fill out the pop up window, send it back to us and we will register you. One of our colleagues will contact you in a few days.
- Upon receiving the donation we will post you the Club’s basic supporting package including your membership card and a DOB CD.
- Finally there is nothing else left to do than to register to the progams of your interest from Hangoló magazine and to enjoy all the benefits of the exclusive relation to DOB.
VALIDITY OF THE DOB SUPPORT MEMBERSHIP
Upon receiving your donation becomes your membership status active for a period of one year.
You will be notified a month before your membership expires to renew the status or change to an other supporting level.
If your membership is not renewed, that is the fee due at your supporting level is not paid by the end of the validity, your membership terminates.
