Kára-Sepsi, Etelka
Etelka has been a member of our orchestra since 2006. Apart from BDO, she works for Kroó György Elementary Art Education Institute.
She was voted Musician of the Season 2014-15 by the members of the orchestra.
Her favourite composers: Bach, Mozart, Brahms. Her favourite piece: Symphony No. 1 by Brahms.
She got married in 2014 and has a son.
She grew up in a big family with 9 siblings. Her parents liked music very much. They did not have the chance to learn to play any instruments but did their best to make it possible for their children. In the end, only Etelka chose a career in music, at the time not really knowing whatever it meant. She got acquainted with orchestra work during her years at the Music Academy.
‘I like playing in the orchestra, and I truly enjoy the good atmosphere of the rehearsals and concerts. I learned what orchestra work really means in Dohnányi Orchestra, and from Gábor Hollerung. Upon our 2018 anniversary I wish at least 25 more years for the orchestra! Many nice concerts together, also good health, endurance and love for the work ahead for Gábor and all my colleagues!’
