MEMORIA MELODIA – with the power of music for people living with dementia.
BDO will join in the World Alzheimer’s Month in September with a special event – not only as a participant, but also by inviting the orchestra’s patrons. The UNFORGETTABLE GALA EVENING was inspired by a documentary film about an elderly couple faithful to each other unto death. (The title is Hűség which translates to ‘Faithfulness’, the English title given by the makers of the film is: Ever; it was directed by Csaba Szekeres.) The film was released two years ago and since then it has had success at several national and international festivals. The film will be screened again free of charge from 16 September to 3 October 2021. Its creators have been collecting stories from relatives of people with dementia for 2 years. Those invited and present will have a chance to hear and see these stories during the UNFORGETTABLE GALA EVENING. And of course, BDO’s chamber orchestras will also do their best to make this evening even more unforgettable.
